Me In 10 Seconds

I’m an artist, writer, tailor, and calligrapher. I love learning new things, especially things that help me change my mind.

I’m a voracious reader, and I love objects and places that have a story.

My aim is to understand with courage, create meaningful art, and share what I learn with others.

I’m from rural New York state. I currently live in Utah.

Here I Share My Thoughts and Creations.

I publish new articles on my blog regularly. Topics are wide-ranging. One entry might be a personal story. A few days later, you might see an article about how to wear a cloak. The next time you check in, you could find an essay about the history of North Atlantic cod fishing. I have a lot of varied interests!

If you’d like to keep up with what I’m working on, including recently published work, cool things I’ve come across, and new artwork, you can subscribe to my weekly newsletter.

Please Consider Working With Me

As a writer, I value people-first content. I don’t write for algorithms or for those looking for “search-engine-optimization-above-all-else” material.

Professionally, I’ve been the Senior Editor for one of the web’s largest menswear blogs. I’ve also led a team of writers with my writing agency, focusing on helping luxury brands convey their value to potential customers.

As a penman, I create traditional pen-and-ink calligraphy. My work can help elevate your personal correspondence or next important occasion, whether it be a wedding, religious celebration, or corporate event.

As a tailor, I repair, mend, alter, and make clothing, using traditional techniques. All my work is done by hand — there are no machines involved.

As a stylist, I help guys to look their best. First, I help clients identify their personal style. Then, I show examples of clothes that I think they might like, and I get their feedback.

After some brainstorming on my own, I present a personalized list of options, taking into consideration their preferences, budget, and day-to-day needs. I help them go through the list and pick what they like.

From there, I can guide them through the fitting process, and I make alterations as needed. I can help them style their new clothes and provide ongoing support.
